    Jenniffer is a young sportswoman questioning her career as a national athlete in Cuba. Her mother, Marbelis, is the tough boss of a public fumigation center in downtown Havana. As her brother is getting ready to leave the country, Jenniffer struggles to find her place. This intimate family chronicle, seen from the perspective of two women, unfolds the portrait of a generation unsure of what’s next in Cuba.

    Aldemar Matias' work has been honoured internationally with several awards including the Jury Prizes of Documenta Madrid and San Sebastián. PARENTE (2011), his documentary about HIV testing in the Yanomami villages in the Amazon, was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was acquired by the Brazilian Ministry of Health. WHEN I GET HOME (2014) received the awards of Film Of The Year and Best Documentary at The Watersprite Festival, in Cambridge. EL ENIGMO (2015), his latest film shot in Havana, had its world premiere at Visions du Réel and was selected in Dok Leipzig, Tel Aviv, Doc Buenos Aires, True/False, Filmer a Tout Prix, Biarritz, Rencontres de Toulouse, among others. He’s currently developing his next film called PRESSURE POINTS.
