    Luminita, a young illegal immigrant living on the edge of a shantytown, devises a way to escape her misery. While putting her plan in action, she runs up against Antonio, a mysterious and very sick old man. The clash between the two is inevitable and violent, with unexpected consequences.

    Gianluca De Serio (1978) is an italian director working with his twin brother, Massimiliano De Serio. They have produced several shorts and documentaries which have been screened at major national and international film festivals and won numerous awards. Since 2005 they have also taken part in a number of individual and collective exhibitions with films and video installations. The films they have made include the shorts IL GIORNO DEL SANTO (2002), MARIA JESUS (2003), MY BROTHER YANG (2004), ZAKARIA (2005) and the documentaries L'ESAME DI XHODI (2007), BAKROMAN (2010), and RIVER MEMORIES (2015). Their debut fictional feature was SETTE OPERE DI MISERICORDIA. Their project SPACCAPIETRE was selected for the Venice Gap-financing Market 2019.
