Synopsis

The sea and its swimmers, fishers and ships, as you’ve never seen them before. That is the simple premise that Dan Popa takes to impressive heights in this film that, as its title suggests, is presented as a symphony. Structured in a series of “movements,” this cinematic essay combines classical, traditional and atmospheric music with observations of people who work on the ocean, or who live near it. Filmed on four continents, this sensual and poetic film ponders human societies through the prism of the sea – the water that links us, provides a living and inspires us to dream. An invitation to meditate, in which the most ordinary things become extraordinary.
