What do we look like when we hesitate and when we make a decision? What does it look like when we overcome our fear? An entertaining study of the human element in an ersatz situation.

    Maximilien Van Aertryck is a French-German director born in Paris. He lives in Gothenburg and works at Plattform Produktion where he closely collaborates with Axel Danielson. Maximilien just completed his first feature documentary, MATRIMANIA, entirely shot in India. His short documentary, ICEBREAKERS (2011), explores the life onboard a passenger ferry crossing the wintery Baltic Sea. It premiered at Visions du Réel in Switzerland. In 2016, his short film TEN METER TOWER premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival and was awarded the Startsladden Short Film Award.

    Axel Danielson started his career as a firefighter in Kristianstad but changed his direction towards moving images after a few years. He earned his degree as a Film Director in 2005, at former Filmhögskolan (today Valand Academy). He has been involved in the Gothenburg based production company Plattform Produktion since 2005. Since 2012 Axel Danielson is the program leader of the Master program of Cinematic Processes at Valand Academy, Göteborg University. In 2016, his short film TEN METER TOWER won the Startsladden Short Film Award at Göteborg Film Festival.
