THE DEAD reveals the lives of Mexico’s most privileged youth, sketching out how money can be a force that can imprison and blind one to surrounding social and political realities. It shows the uncomfortable friction between a Mexico where nothing happens and another Mexico in which many things happen. In the midst of all this, an unexpected accident symboliSes the emergence of Mexico from the horror of its void.

The characters degrade themselves little by little ultil they reach a surprising final act.

The cast portray their unpleasant but very real-feeling characters in a naturalistic way that jibes with the material's overall tone.
