    Teresa has been a housekeeper for a wealthy family in Buenos Aires for decades. When the family sells the house, she is forced to travel far for her new job. On her way through the desert she loses her bag, an unfortunate turn of events that leads to a surprising encounter with the one person who can help her find it. Teresa shares the journey with Gringo, a travelling salesman, and her misfortune soon becomes the best thing that’s happened to her in years.

    Valeria Pivato studied Art and Design at the University of Buenos Aires, and graduated from the Cievyc School of Cinematography. She has worked on films by Walter Salles, Pablo Trapero and Juan Campanella. In 2013, her script BEFORE AND AFTER won the Patagonik Screenwriter Contest.

    She co-directed the film THE DESERT BRIDE (2017) with Cecilia Atán, which was selected in the Un Certain Regard section at the 70th Cannes IFF.

    Cecilia is an Argentinian scriptwriter and director. Her debut film (which she co-directed with Valeria Pivato) THE DESERT BRIDE premiered at the Un Certain Regard selection of the Cannes IFF 2017.
