Director's Statement

THE GIRAFFE is a film about being lost, faith, responsibility, and the darkness and fear surrounding the characters of the film.
Just as the lotus blossoms upward from the bottom of the swamp, just as the small plant finds its way through the cracks of the city's cement, THE GIRAFFE depicts that miracles do exist in the darkest of places. In this film, we have taken a journey of discovery and exploration, to explore our skills and our abilities, to learn and to mature. Perhaps we have succeeded to portray how it is possible for Cairo to appear through the eyes of some of its specters.
