Joost van Ginkel
Netherlands
Joost van Ginkel (1971, The Netherlands) produced his first short film SAND (2008) by himself. SAND was selected for the 2008 Venice Film Festival, won 13 international awards and was the Dutch submission for the Academy Award Best Live Action Short. His second short film KISS (2009) was selected for the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. His first feature film, 170 HZ, was nominated for Best Actress and Best Sound Design and won the YouthMovieSquad Award and the Public’s Choice Award at the 2011 Netherlands Film Festival. His most recent feature, THE PARADISE SUIT, was selected at TIFF in 2014
