    Melisa Liebenthal (1991) is an Argentinian director trained at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, at Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) in Cuba and at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains in France. Her work goes around hybrid aesthetics and essay- film tradition to tell personal stories, in appearance trivial, that end up revealing their political dimensions. Her first feature film, LAS LINDAS (THE PRETTY ONES, 2016), won prizes at Rotterdam, BAFICI and Asterisco LGBTIQ (Buenos Aires), and was screened in over 30 festivals around the world. Her short film CONSTANZA (2018) won as Best Short Film at Queer Lisboa 2019 - In My Shorts Competition.
