    Director's Statement

The story takes place over a single night, and follows the main characters: the Reaper, the Woman, the Gas Station Attendant and the Policeman. On this night, their individual stories take on a deeper significance and wider resonance. This is not a state-of-the-nation screenplay in the traditional sense, but it is a portrait of a society dealing with the after-effects of a war – sometimes failing, sometimes succeeding – but never giving up the attempt to move forward.
