Trained in cinema at Concordia University, Miryam Charles has produced and photographed several short films. She previously directed FLY, FLY SADNESS (2015), best art/experimental film RVQC 2016, TOWARDS THE COLONIES (2016), A FORTRESS (2018), DREI ATLAS (2018) special mention/new alchemists FNC 2018, best art and experimental film RVQC 2019. Charles also directed the short film SECOND GENERATION (2019), that was screened at TIFF. She works poetically on the sound design of her short films, always in search of a plurality of stories. Her films have been shown at various film festivals around the world. She directed the short film THE RED ALBUM OR A POETIC INTENT (2019). She also directed THIS HOUSE (2022), selected at Berlinale . Her film AT DUSK (2022) was selected at Locarno FF. Myriam's latest short, ALL THE DAYS OF MAY (2023), was selected at the Toronto IFF 2023.
