There is always a simple way to make things — a scholastic way — but it’s so boring. My form of respect and love for people that go to watch my movies is always to try and research a new language, to cross the line every time.

Edoardo de Angelis (1978), graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. His feature films include MOZZARELLA STORIES (2011), PEREZ (2014) and INDIVISIBLE (2016). INDIVISIBLE won six David di Donatello awards: best original screenplay, best producer, best actress in a supporting role, best soundtrack, best original song and best costume. THE VICE OF HOPE (2018) is his latest film which premiered at TIFF. It won the Best Director and Best Actress Awards at the Tokyo IFF and the Audience Award at the Rome FF.
