    Sam has stopped taking his medication - he still doesn’t think he is ill. His mother is fraught after finding Sam naked in a freezing lake in the middle of the night. The doctor thinks Sam should try a different medication.Three characters, three perspectives, three directors: A triptych exploring three very different senses of reality.

    Anna Benner is an animation director from Germany who’s been living and working in London for the past 10 years. Her work often involves a combination of handmade and digital elements. Recently Anna has written, directed and produced TIS THE SEASON, an animated short about Santa Clause and his cosplay habit. She also directs animated commercials, as one part of Jens&Anna, the most recent a well-received campaign for Kentucky’s healthcare system.

Her work, at the crossroad between documentary and contemporary art, was screened at Locarno and Sundance Film Festivals and Venice Biennale. In DEMONIC, screened during the 58 th edition of La Semaine de la Critique, Pia mixes archives, reenactment and CGI to immerse the audience in the depth of a “satanic panic”

    Gemma Burditt is an animation director and illustrator of short films, commercials, music videos and projections. She has an innovative approach to film making often crossing techniques such as animation, live action and documentary and is still strongly influenced by her earlier career in devised theatre. Her films have been screened worldwide winning various awards including Silver Lion at Cannes Commercial Festival for her John West Campaign ROW. Gemma has recently completed a co direction of the documentary URBAN BIRDS about female cycle couriers working in London which premiered at the New York Bike Festival in June and is currently on the BFF world circuit. She has also just completed a collaborative animation project which she co-directed: THROUGH THE HAWTHORN funded by the Wellcome Trust. Gemma has also recently created an Art Break Stint for MTV.
