France
We are attached to the idea of mixing references to the American horror movies we grew up watching and French comedy and drama. We like bringing American monsters to the French countryside we grew up in--where they're not supposed to belong.
Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma are twin brothers born in 1992 in Marmande, France. They attended L'École de la Cité in Paris, the film and television school founded by Luc Besson in 2012. In 2016, at the age of 23, they co-directed their first feature film WILLY I (2016), with Marielle Gautier and Hugo Thomas. It was selected at ACID in Cannes and won the d’Ornano-Valenti Award for Best French First Film. Prior films include PERRAULT, LA FONTAINE, MY ASS! (2014), which was awarded at Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, and ICH BIN EINE TATA (2015). Their latest film, TEDDY (2020), is the first they’ve directed by themselves and was an official selection at Cannes.
