    Loneliness was almost a defining emotion for my generation. So I wanted to explore what it would have been like to have this other, rather unlikely, kind of friend in END OF SUMMER.

    Zhou graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Communication (Media) and the American Film Institute with a MFA in Directing. He is also an alumnus of Berlinale Talents and Golden Horse Film Academy. His short films have travelled to over 30 international film festivals including Montreal, Hawaii, Singapore and the prestigious Asian American film festivals such as New York, San Francisco and Toronto. His AFI thesis film WOMAN IN FRAGMENTS won the Air Canada Short Film Award at Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and the Grand Prix at China Short Film Academy Awards. His RMIT thesis film WHEREABOUTS won a Platinum Remi Award at WorldFest – Houston International Film Festival.
