ANCINE is the national Brazilian Film Agency, responsible for the regulation of the audiovisual sector in the country. It also manages funds for many of the industry activities (production, distribution, exhibition) and is one of responsible partners for the international promotion of Brazilian film production, a mission it shares with the Brazilian Audiovisual Secretary, Cinema do Brasil and the Audiovisual Promotion Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes (January 24 - February 1, 2020) reaches its 23rd edition as the main showcase for independent Brazilian cinema, also holding seminars and training events. Free of charge for an audience, it opens the Brazilian audiovisual calendar year.

Festival Scope Pro presents its main competition, AURORA, featuring first, second and third features, always world or Brazilian premieres.

Line-up of the latest Brazilian films which found their space in the prestigious sections of the most important international film festivals.

Currently being presented are the films from Rotterdam, Berlinale, Cannes, Annecy, Locarno, Venice, Toronto, San Sebastián, Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Karlovy Vary, IDFA, Havana and other international film festivals.

Brazilian films are the heart of Festival do Rio and the best annual global showcase of contemporary Brazilian cinema. The competition section Première Brasil screens new Brazilian productions most of which are having their world premieres in Rio.
