Swedish Film Institute

Founded in 1963, the Swedish Film aims includes the promotion, support and development of film in its cultural and broader contexts, the allocation of grants for the production, support and public showing of Swedish films at home, and the promotion of Swedish cinema at an international level. The Swedish Film Institute is also responsible for the preservation and promotion of Sweden's cinematic heritage and manages the national film archive and cinematheque.

The Swedish Film Institute, in collaboration with Festival Scope Pro, is proud to present a line-up of recent films directed by women in connection with its aim to reach a 50/50 parity between men and women filmmakers this year.
